The Sense of Smell: 6 Best Perfumes For Women

Olfactory senses in terms of evolution and history is one of the oldest known to mankind and animals. In the previous era it was used as a means of finding food, potential mating partner, sense danger and even enemies. It has been one of the most important ways in which humans interact with the environment.

Our olfactory senses, triggered by smell have unbelievable capacities that are still being explored by doctors, It is by far known as a powerful medium for memories and stimuli for appetite. Lately, humans have been focusing on artificial ways of stimulating our olfactory instead of the traditional and ancient ‘natural body odour’. Can’t complain about that though, right ? ;)

So, this #StyleSaturday, here are some my all time favourite perfumes that I absolutely love and miss, since I have been stuck in lockdown without most of them:

1) Victoria’s Secret : Pure Seduction -

I have been using this particular fragrance for a about 3 years now and it has never failed at it’s job J. It is a sweet smelling fruity fragrance perfect for a dinner or any sort of an indoor event. It might get a tad loud in certain places like maybe an office cubicle, but it’s definitely a go to.

2) Victoria’s Secret : Velvet Petals -

This I would love to call an everyday fragrance. A subtle fragrance, a perfect blend between fruity and floral which makes it perfect for everyday use. The fragrance is long lasting and is DEFINITELY worth it.

3) Donna Karen New York (DKNY) : Be Tempted -

I cannot stress enough on how amazing this perfume is. It is a very rich fruity fragrance with notes of lemon and rose supported with notes of vanilla and orange. At no point will this fragrance be too much. But the downside to this one is the cost,it is a expensive but if you can manage shell out enough bucks this perfume will really give you and your outfit the extra oomph factor which will make everyone turn their heads J.

4) Zara : Zara Black For Women -

An oriental perfume, medium ranged with hints of cinnamon and notes of vanilla mixed with musk. A captivating yet brave fragrance and definitely one that lingers and doesn’t get overpowered easily.

5) Estee Lauder : Pleasure -

A very fresh floral fragrance with notes of rose and jasmine. A perfect combination for a slow day or a cold day outside. The fragrance is subtle and stays on great.The reason I love this particular fragrance is because even after being a floral fragrance is isn’t too sweet and neither it is too vague, It hits just right.

6) Clinique : Happy -

I happened to stumble upon this particular fragrance is a gift set and it was travel sized and I finished this particular fragrance pretty quickly because of how amazing it was. I have since been waiting to but this one again L . It is a medium toned strong fragrance with hints of citrus backed up by floral faint notes. It is extremely vibrant and sort of has its own personality that makes you go WOOOHOOOO !
