The Harry Potter Series captured everyone's hearts as one of the most loved book series in human history. Those who love the Harry Potter series know about its vastness. There are so many small details that usually get missed. In fact, there are still so many wizarding world facts that can blow our minds.

The original Harry Potter tale's five-part prequel series Fantastic Beasts is due for its third installment which releases in winters next year. Since Grindelwald returns, Dumbledore is there!


And it could reveal other surprising facts about the franchise moving forward. There are callbacks (er, call forwards?) galore. In JK Rowling's vast world, the movie is about to trace the exciting stories of the Wizarding World before potter's Storyline. One of the reasons we all love the Harry Potter book series is the sheer amount of attention to detail.


On numerous occasions, JKR has dropped important hints and facts for fans, about which fandom doesn't have an idea even before the final book. But the following list of details contains some of the most notable and odd factoids that weren't made until after the final novel by the famed author herself. There are some that are just Intriguing on their own. In fact, words like "Interesting, Intriguing, fascinating" are not enough to cover it.

I did a little research into Wizarding World's history and came up with the plethora of facts that people would definitely find fresh and exciting...

Did You Know:

#1 The Motto Of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry Is 'Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus' meaning 'Never tickle a sleeping dragon'.


#2 Have you ever thought where Hogwarts is actually located? According to the novels, it is located somewhere in Scotland. But you can't see it, because it is hidden to Muggle eyes with various charms, and whenever any muggle tumble across Hogwarts, they see ruins and a dilapidated building with the board of " Keep out: Dangerous" sign on it.

#3 In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second book movie adaption, Lucius Malfoy states that he works at the Ministry. However, this is not the actual case because according to the 5th book, Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, his son Draco Malfoy stated that his father just always visits In and Out of the Ministry. This implies he doesn't work for the Ministry.

#4 Phoenix a mythical sacred bird, mentioned in books and movies is JK Rowling's favorite beast from the series.

#5 MACUSA- The Magical Congress of the United States of America which we have seen in the 'Fantastic Beasts' series is actually the magical society in the USA. It Is equivalent to the Ministry Of Magic ( mentioned in the Harry Potter series), England.


#6 Harry's Ancestors: Harry comes from quite a successful family. Financially, politically and magical legacy wise.


#7 The grandfather of Harry Potter, Fleamont Potter Is someone who came from the long line potion makers. The Sleekeazy's hair potion, that Hermione used for Yule ball was actually invented by Fleamont Potter.

#8 Harry Potter's ancestors, Henry and Ralston Potter were members of the wizengamot.


#9 Dumbledore and Grindelwald: We all know that Dumbledore was gay. Rowling released that information years ago. However, Dumbledore has been in love with Grindelwald, that's why he delayed the faceoff against him, which finally happened in 1945. We will be watching this faceoff in the upcoming movies of Fantastic Beasts.

#10 There was a wizard named Ekrizdis who used to practice black magic in a fortress. He killed and tortured a large number of muggles in his fortress, and now we know this fortress as the Prison Of Azkaban.

#11 Hagrid's motorcycle actually belonged to Sirius Black. Later Arthur Weasley fixed it for Harry Potter.


#12 Many people consider Hufflepuff as the soft and nerd house. But very few people know that on 9th September 2015, Hufflepuff won the house cup. After all, this was the house of the mighty Cedric Diggory and Newt Scamander.

#13 Very few people know that the tale of three brothers Is actually related to Harry Potter and Voldemort. Both of them are related. They're are the descendants of the Peverell family. Harry is related to Ignotus Peverell, owner of the invisibility cloak. Voldemort was supposed the descendent of Cadmus Peverell, who was the owner of the resurrection Stone.


#14 In the Harry Potter novels, colors always played an important role. For better understanding

here are the examples:

Harry's Ink, the crimson of Hogwarts train, and scarlet robes of Gryffindor house are shades of Red and they represent goodness.

#15 In the Harry Potter series numbers are symbolic such as 2,3,4 And 7.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron suggested being the definition of friendship, unity, and the spiritual trinity. Even the Basilisks were wounded on the third strike by Harry. Hagrid used to knock Hogwarts door three Times in a row. Every student attends Hogwarts for seven years and there are seven players in each Quidditch team and even Sirius Black was imprisoned in Hogwarts on the seventh floor.


#16 In an Interview, JKR stated the parents Of Neville, Frank, and Alice Never recovered. They had faced black magic which was worse than what Harry's parents had faced. The damage done by Black Magic here was permanent.

#17 There was an ancient Greek wizard who created a Horcrux and bred the first basilisk.

#18 Dumbledore use to detect Harry under invisibility cloak casting a special spell "Homenum Revelio".

#19 After the Battle Of Hogwarts, Gorge Weasley married Angelina Johnson, the girlfriend of his dead twin. Afterwards, they had two kids, Fred and Roxanne.

#20 Hermione Puckle, Neville Puff, Draco Spinks, Lily Moon (Luna Lovegood), Madhari Patil, and Mati Patil are the original names of some very popular characters from the series before Rowling changed them.

#21 The first werewolf to ever receive the order of merlin, first-class, was Remus Lupin.


#22 Greyback bit Remus just before his 5th birthday as revenge from his father Lyall Lupin. Lyall had insulted the werewolves with words like "soulless and evil" in front of Greyback.

#23 JK Rowling once turned down the offer of the musical album on books by Michael Jackson.

#24 Just like Sirius Black which means " Dogstar" most of the Black family members are named on stars and constellations.


#25 A fantabulous fountain in the middle of Beauxbatons school has healing and beautifying powers. It is named after the infamous character of Wizarding world Nicholas Flamel And Perenelle Flamel.

#26 Just like Harry stole the Marauder's map from Dumbledore's desk, his oldest son James Sirius Potter, stole the Marauder’s Map from his dad’s desk.


#27 After the battle of Hogwarts Harry and Dudley, the cousins still went to each other's place with their kids.

#28 After graduating from Hogwarts, Hermione started her career at the department for regulation and control of Magical creatures, for the betterment of House-elves lives. But later then she joined the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

#29 Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, started by the twins is now a booming business. Now even Ron, being an Auror, helps George in business.


#30 Rowling has deep interests in Mythology and many of her character names are inspired by mythology. For example, Minvera ( McGonagall) was the goddess of wisdom in Rome.


#31 Harry's arrival in the farewell from number 4, private drive is same with Hagrid in Sirius Black's motorbike.

#32 Unicorn hair, Pheonix feathers, and Dragon heartstring- The three cores of Ollivander wand is United by the Golden Trio.


#33 Peeves, the poltergeist is living In Hogwarts Since it's establishment in 990. He was never a human. He could become invisible, unlike other ghosts.


#34 The character of Nicolas Flamel was inspired by a real person who made it his life's ambition after Alchemy to produce something like a philosopher stone.


#35 Dumbledore's boggart was his sister Ariana's corpse

First,

The sister of Albus Dumbledore, Ariana Dumbledore was probably obscurus. The Term Obscurus was introduced to the Wizarding World first time with the Fantastic Beasts Series.

Second,

Most people don't realize how closely In the wizarding world everything is co-related. The most closely related is none other than the Black family, of course.

Third,

Bellatrix, Narcissa ( mother of Draco Malfoy), and Andromeda Black are all sisters. Nymphadora tonks is the daughter of Andromeda and Ted Tonks. Tonks married to one of the marauders Remus Lupin, and together they have son, Teddy Lupin. And Harry Potter is Teddy’s godfather Teddy is raised by Ginny and Harry. Later it is revealed in the Harry Potter and the cursed child book edition. Also, Draco and Nymphadora Tonks are first cousins. Newt Scamander is from the family of Luna Lovegood and her husband. He's the descendant of Luna Lovegood.


Fourth,

Voldemort, Snape, and Harry are, the stars of “The Tale of the Three Brothers” from “The Tales of Beedle the Bard." They're the descendants of three brothers.

Fifth,

The most exciting one is that you can buy some of the textbooks! Like- “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", “Quidditch Through The Ages" and “The Tales of Beedle the Bard."
