What Does Ross Geller Teach Us About Love Bombing?

The first mile on a marathon of an abusive relationship. Love bombing is a strategy of overwhelming someone with a waft of affection, devotion and enticement. The start of a lovely melody whirling into an ear-piercing sound which rings insanity and is hard to forget calls itself love bombing.
Today, this #ThrowbackThursday Ross Geller will count more than three Mississippi as we dive, head first; into its signs.
1. Undivided Attention:
Was Ross Geller really expecting Rachel to centre her life on him? He was. But after Rachel, was he a changed man? He was…...just waiting for Elizabeth to knock on his cabin.
When Rachel gets a chance to work in a job which isn’t remotely related to a field, she is interested in but something which is of her own. Ross starts to hate it because he isn’t a part of it. Elizabeth’s spring vacation was also not a supportive idea for professor Geller’s thinking.
2. Clingy:
Storming in her workplace, marking his territory by proclaiming relationship status and mistrusting Rachel will never be considered adorable. Ross always played a nice guy card; in his subtle acts he expressed that Rachel deserved to be with a good guy. He was nice to her with a sole purpose of throwing a hoop on Rachel’s love.
3. Boundary is Just Another Word
He kissed Rachel (Monica) when she was semi-drunk. He kept Rachel from dating other guys after the birth of Emma (they had mutually ended their relationship and decided to remain friends four years ago). If someone is not willing to respect your boundaries then you were never a person in their eyes, rather an object to fulfil a desire.
4. Pet Phrase- Soul Mates
Like Bella swan, about three things Ross was absolutely positive. First Rachel was his soul mate. Second there was a part of him and he didn’t know how dominant that part might be that thirsted for marrying her, third he was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with her. No one will shame a person for just seeing a potential of love in another person, Questions will be raised only if that person instantly wants their manifestation to be a shared interest.
Maybe a single example would be lacklustre and that’s what the token of a noxious relationship is, it’s always the little red flags which locks a person out in cold. Getting upset of joey and Rachel’s relationship (after nearly 6 years of breakup) was one of many examples.
5. Immediate Commitment
Rachel couldn’t fly to Paris instead her destiny flew her blind into a wicked manipulation. Ross convinced Rachel to give up her dream job because he was in love with her, and immediately wanted to settle down.
Confessing his love could be romantic for few but Rachel should have drawn a line when he asked her to choose.
6. Intensity Higher Than IQ
Lying to Rachel about dissolution of his marriage because he didn’t want to wear three-time divorcee tag points out his mistakes as an individual. Ross imposed several times that love is not patient and kind. It’s either on break or a huge drunken mistake.
Don’t leave as a member of I hate Ross club (that’s up to your own will) It was never about telling something which everyone already knew, rather an arrangement of showing what love bombing is as a climate.
Warning to a person who is weathering this storm of love, a red alert has been issued.
