July 10 was the Birthday of The Greatest Lighting Genius Nikola Tesla, who would have been 161 years old today.

He was born in Smiljan, Croatia, on July 10, 1856. Tesla's father, Milutin Tesla, was a Serbian orthodox priest and a writer, and he pushed his son join the Priesthood. But Nikola's Interests lay squarely in sciences. He was One of the Greatest Geek who ever lived had more Than Just science In His Brain. Nikola Tesla was an engineer and scientist known for designing the Alternating-Current (AC) Electric system, which is the Predominant Electrical system used across the World Today. He also created the "Tesla coil," which is still used in Radio Technology. Tesla Is the One Who Predicted and invented the 21st century. He Predicted The Internet, Personal Communication Devices or Mobile Phones.

Tesla was Able to visualize objects, including inventions he was building, in his head, down to the minutest detail. His method of working was pretty unorthodox compared to other inventors, as he rarely created sketches or drawings, relying instead on the power of his own imagination to work out details. Beginning in early childhood, Tesla experienced flashes of light, which were sometimes followed by inspiration or solutions to problems. These visions could sometimes take on the character of a spiritual experience, But Tesla, a man of science, discounted any such interpretation, valuing them only for their scientific benefit.

If you couldn’t imagine life without your TV remote, thank Nikola Tesla for making it possible. Tesla invented, predicted or contributed to development of hundreds of technologies that play big parts in our daily lives -- like the remote control, neon and fluorescent lights, wireless transmission, computers, smartphones, laser beams, x-rays, robotics and, of course, alternating current, the basis of our present-day electrical system.

Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison:-

In 1884 Tesla arrived in the United States with little more than the clothes on his back and a letter of introduction to famed inventor and business mogul Thomas Edison. Edison hired Tesla, and the two men were soon working tirelessly alongside each other, making improvements to Edison's inventions.

Several months later, the two parted ways due to a conflicting business-scientific relationship, attributed by historians to their incredibly different personalities: While Edison was a power figure who focused on marketing and financial success, Tesla was commercially out-of-touch and somewhat vulnerable.

Here Are Some Interesting Lesser Known Facts about Nikola Tesla:-

#1.Tesla was born during a lightning storm. Yes, the man who would conduct experiments with light later on in his career was born during the darkest of the times.

#2. Tesla predicted the internet. He said – “The household’s daily newspaper will [one day] be printed ‘wirelessly’ in the home”. In a divine vision of sorts, Nikola Tesla predicted that in the years to come, a global system of wireless communication would reach every household. He was so confident of his prediction that he proposed this scheme to J. P. Morgan. He versioned a world system of wireless communication to pass on telephonic messages, broadcast news, music, stock market, and even share pictures across the world! So this guy really knew the pulse of Internet long before.

#3. They called him mad: Tesla for his attitude and intellect was also known as “mad scientist.” He also tried to develop a particle gun, or death ray.

#4.It's believed that the U. S government took notebook of Tesla after his death which had ideas and detailed notes about dangerous weapons such as Tesla oscillator (which is capable of producing massive earth quakes) and death rays. He also had detailed notes about his idea on world wide free electricity. He successfully transferred electricity wirelessly.

#5. He had strange habits like having dinner at 8:10 PM sharp and squishing his toes hundred times for each foot every night.

#6. He was the first person to record radio waves from outer space. RADAR was invented by Watson Watt at 1935. But wait, Tesla was the first one to make RADAR. He invented it in 1917.

#7. Nikola Tesla invented the radio in 1892 and the first remote controlled toy boat in 1898, making it to the Newspaper’s headlines. Thanks to Nikola Tesla, today we can enjoy our favourite music on radio. Yes, he was the man behind the invention of Radio. He came out with the basic radio design in 1892. Then after 6 years in 1898, he invented the first radio controlled robot-boat which was controlled by radio waves. This toy boat was also exhibited in the Electrical Exhibition in the same year. This was the first invention of its kind and it made way to the front page newspapers in America.

#8. Nikola Tesla believed that women would become superior to men in future societal standing, and stated that “a new sex order” will appear with “the female as superior”.

Along with being a scientist, an electric engineer, a mechanical engineer, a physicist and a futurist of his repute, Nikola Tesla had feminist streaks too. He had a firm view that women are the builders of the society and soon there will be “a new sex order…with the female as superior”. He mentioned “This struggle of the human female toward sex equality will end in a new sex order, with the female as superior."

His Humorous Side:-

Most people don’t know that Tesla had a terrific sense of humour, Seiner said. For example, after dining with writer and poet Rudyard Kipling, he wrote this in a correspondence to a close friend:

April 1, 1901

My dear Mrs. Johnson

What is the matter with ink spiller Kipling? He actually dared to invite me to dine in an obscure hotel where I would be sure to get hair and cockroaches in the soup.

Yours truly,

Nikola Tesla

Innovation runs in Tesla’s blood. Tesla once wrote: “My mother was an inventor of the first order and would, I believe, have achieved great things had she not been so remote from modern life and its multi fold opportunities. She invented and constructed all kinds of tools and devices and wove the finest designs from thread which was spun by her.” He credited both His parents influence for his success.

Once He Revealed About His Inventions:-

"Before I put a sketch on paper, the whole idea is worked out mentally. In my mind I change the construction, make improvements, and even operate the device. Without ever having drawn a sketch I can give the measurements of all parts to workmen, and when completed all these parts will fit, just as certainly as though I had made the actual drawings. It is immaterial to me whether I run my machine in my mind or test it in my shop. The inventions I have conceived in this way have always worked. In thirty years there has not been a single exception. My first electric motor, the vacuum wireless light, my turbine engine and many other devices have all been developed in exactly this way.”

Even though this was indeed an astounding ability, the fact that Tesla didn’t record many of his ideas initially may have contributed to the fact he didn’t receive credit for a myriad of them.

Nikola Tesla was a visionary who saw future unveil. The biggest of scientific minds may not be with us but his words can still be of great help. He was a man of that intellect, we have no idea what he might have invented but not shared with the world, and he was and forever will be an enigma to this world.

"Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine."- Nikola Tesla
