Whether it is Mere samne wali khidki from Padosan or “Nadan Parindey” from Rockstar, it has been manifested that the movies stay alive within ourselves because of their music. If we talk about the Bollywood blockbuster Himmatwala, we would surely remember the song “Taki O Taki” by Kishore Kumar which indisputably made the movie a memorable one.

The stars are the face of the music of any movie. “Mere hatho main nau nau chudiya hai” when you come across this song what do you think of? Surely the picture of Sridevi in front of you, dancing on this song with pretty bangles in her hands. The placement of stars within the digital consumers takes place with the placement of music within them.

Celebrities are remembered because of their appearance in some hit melodies even when they are not the part of the cast of the respective films. If we have to take a recent example we would choose Nora Fatehi who is known for some of her hit dance numbers like “Dilbar “ from Satyamev Jayate (though the movie didn’t do great at the box office this song became the biggest hit of the year) , “Garmi” from Street Dancer and many more, even after not being a cast member in the same movies. Talking about some Bollywood celebrities, it would be so unwise to forget Emraan Hashmi who is known for being a part of the films which have some great music. Let it be “Woh Lamhe” or “Jo bheji thi dua”, the songs of his movies are a big hit still now.

It is said that 'The first impression is the last impression'. In the same way, the music of any movie is the first opinion, the changing factor for the audience on the basis of which they choose whether to watch the movie or not. But there are some movies which can’t really match up the level set by the music of its own but nothing goes in vain, such movies and its star cast remain hit within the people in some form or the other. If I say “Jackpot” I bet no one of us could picture the story of this movie in their respective minds but one thing we would surely remember, one of its song which is still a big hit “Kabhi jo Badal” by Arjit Singh.

Now the real conflict arises when the music and the movie both are good, for instance, “Aashiqui 2” or “Rockstar”. Sometimes we cannot define the real reason behind its success, the story or music?. In such cases, both aspects should be judged individually. “Rockstar” was the movie which gave us some greats like “Tum ho”, “Kun Faya Kun”, “Nadaan Parindey” and many more but that does not mean we would give the whole credit to its music for its success because overall, the whole movie was good.

Nothing can indemnify music from the movie. Its power is mammoth which benefits the star cast and the movie itself. So keep listening!
