As young global citizens and netizens, we are always aware of what is happening around us. While growing up, we have seen numerous issues around us in the society, whether it was patriarchy or misogyny or the fact that people are judged on the basis of what they wear, what they do, what they eat and in fact what choices they make. The concept of ‘being socially acceptable’ is so deep rooted into the young minds that they are afraid to do what society perceives as unacceptable. They have a fear of losing their friends, of being looked down upon and being shamed.

This is why we are starting a campaign ‘Exclusively Inclusive’ which speaks on all aspects of social inclusivity and why it is important for people to be accepted for who they are. Whether you want to be androgynous, whether you are attracted towards the same gender or even any gender that exists, whether you choose to wear anything you feel good in, you are free to choose your own life. Whether you want to party with your friends to feel good, whether you want social media validation in a tough time, we as people need to try and understand that as long as it makes you happy and you don’t harm anyone else in what you do, you are always acceptable.

In this series of blogs and interactives, we will be talking about why the term ‘socially unacceptable’ is unacceptable to us. Why is generation gap a serious concern? We will talk about the fact that respect is a basic human right no matter what you do in life and why ethnicity is not a parameter to be judged. The world is too small to capture us and too fast to stop for us. We will have to evolve, we will have to open up our arms for new ideas because the time doesn’t stop for anyone and if you don’t accept and respect a choice which someone made for themselves, someone else will. The life will go on, so it is better to learn how to be empathetic, aware and sensitive. The times are difficult, we need not add on to the misery in the lives of people around us and as we believe 'Diversity is beautiful'.

Welcome to the journey, hope to move at least one heart through every story we tell!
