Maybe if these characters were in the final destination, they would have cheated death there too. The deserved recipients of survival. Nothing would be the same if these characters were not painted into the universe.

First of the 9 characters is the fan favourite Happy Hogan who doesn’t have to be a superhero to have any powers. He has the supremacy to make the audience smile from ear to ear with his mere presence. But this character was super close on falling off Marvel Cinematic Universe’s perch when the makers elected on killing Happy Hogan after his brawl with Eric Savin. After subsisting a blow by the explosion, he would dock on the dirt-covered with scrap and we would discern Happy closing his eyes to meet the end.

But instead, creators made him withstood it, to someday furnish intel to tony.

“if we can’t live together, we are going to die alone” -Jack Shephard, Lost (2004-2010)

This critically acclaimed show had a protagonist whose range of emotions bagged him several awards. Today after a decade of its original run we wonder how different things would be if writers went ahead with their initial plan of killing jack in the pilot of the show, to bring about Kate as the new commander for the group. the idea was dismissed on the grounds of trust. Creators felt that this would give the audience a chance to not have faith in any character’s survival. They had a strong argument of bringing emotional investment from the viewers. This debate gave jack a life span of six seasons.

3. Rocky Balboa- Rocky V:

Rocky Balboa a humble character who faces extraordinary challenges in his journey to the ring. Sylvester Stallone had become a household name due to the widespread popularity of this character. He was also the 7th greatest movie hero of all time. But Rocky V was on the verge of wiping out his existence. It featured rocky to die in the ring covered with blood sweat and tears giving this character a closure. But few creators considered keeping him alive for future movies. Unfortunately, for this case, the creative decision didn’t turn out gold and the series died instead.

Teen hit drama The Vampire Diaries aired around the time where blood-lusting creatures were assessed criteria for a suitable partner. Niklaus Michaelson was leading that list, not only for his charming yet daunting persona but also a feisty warm bloodsucker. Julie Plec, American Television Producer disclosed in an interview, that she considered to write off Klaus in the third season of the show.

But in that very season, Klaus gave rise to a striking imprint in his identity that they had to let his tale evolve and swaddle around a bit more.

The clumsy Bellboy who served Tipton. He was full of the joys of spring and didn’t miss a beat to offer help to the twins whenever needed. This 'on top of the world' personality was never written as a recurring character. Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya De La Rosa Ramirez’s role was planned only for two-three episodes, but his character was widely appreciated, so much so that he whirled into a regular character. Not only he served till the end of suite life but also swam all the away to the suite life on deck.

6.John Rambo -First blood (1982):

Another Sylvester Stallone character which was planned to bite the dust before anything could begin. The masterful tactician would have not lived if Sylvester Stallone didn’t see a possible universe for this character.

Rambo’s death scene was shot but Rambo stayed to battle another day in the ultimate edition.

7.Vivian- Pretty woman:

The free-spirited character was never made to have a feel-good ending. Although Disney was involved, and Disney being famous for a happily ever after, was just about to have a gritty dark tale. It’s no secret that most Disney movies have a dark origin, so does the pretty woman who is inspired for true events. The first draft had written Vivian off the script in the middle of the story, but later on, it developed to be a drug overdose death. However, both ideas were scrapped out to have Vivian and Edward exist beautifully ever after.

8.Andy Dwyer- Parks and recreation:

Andy Dwyer is shown as a kind and soft brained character who blew bubbles in the nethermost of his drink grew to be the heart of the show. Precious Andy Dwyer was only going to be in six episodes. After Ann and Andy’s break up, he would be gone for good. But the creators couldn’t help but fall for Chris Pratt. Soon after his auditions, the executives knew it would be foolishness on their part if they let go Pratt.

9.Eleven-Stranger things:

How cool for a character to have the ability of psychokinetic and telepathy. Eleven was more than a cool character and even the star of the show. Eleven however was never intended to survive beyond season one. Ross Duffer disclosed in an interview that at the end of season one, eleven would lay down her life to protect everyone.

But soon after the popularity of season one and the success of Eleven urged them to bring her character back.
